<h1>View From a Tiny Deep-Sea Diver</h1> <p>Where I live in New Delhi, and throughout India, plastic bags are banned. The government is trying to make people aware through campaigns, yet people still use them; vegetable sellers and shop owners hand out plastic bags to customers. I hope to inspire people to want to change, to cut off their plastic usage little by little. My illustrations feature a tiny deep-sea diver wandering through the ocean world and discovering the destruction caused by plastic. He sees the culprits behind it all: big companies like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Nestlé. And he raises important questions: Why do the oceans have to suffer for endless plastic production? Why can’t we just stop consuming these products? </p> <p>All illustrations by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/ravikoranga/?hl=en">Ravi Koranga</a>.</p> <figure><img src="https://www.yesmagazine.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/98-Ravi-Koranga-1-clean-1024x1024.jpg" alt=""/></figure> <figure><img src="https://www.yesmagazine.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/98-Ravi-Koranga-2-clean-1024x1024.jpg" alt=""/></figure> <figure><img src="https://www.yesmagazine.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/98-Ravi-Koranga-3-clean-1024x1024.jpg" alt=""/></figure> <figure><img src="https://www.yesmagazine.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/98-Ravi-Koranga-4-clean-1024x1024.jpg" alt=""/></figure> <figure><img src="https://www.yesmagazine.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/98-Ravi-Koranga-5-1024x1024.jpg" alt=""/></figure> <figure><img src="https://www.yesmagazine.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/98-Ravi-Koranga-6-1024x1024.jpg" alt=""/></figure> <figure><img src="https://www.yesmagazine.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/98-Ravi-Koranga-7-1024x1024.jpg" alt=""/></figure> <figure><img src="https://www.yesmagazine.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/98-Ravi-Koranga-8-1024x1024.jpg" alt=""/></figure> <figure><img src="https://www.yesmagazine.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/98-Ravi-Koranga-9-1024x1024.jpg" alt=""/></figure> <figure><img src="https://www.yesmagazine.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/98-Ravi-Koranga-10-1024x1024.jpg" alt=""/></figure> <p>This article originally appeared in <a href="https://www.yesmagazine.org">Yes!
