According to Brené Brown, blaming someone for something can be detrimental to relationships and make it difficult to practice empathy—even if the one you’re blaming is yourself.
In the video below, Brown, a self-proclaimed storyteller and researcher at the University of Houston’s Graduate College of Social Work, explains why we blame other people and how it negatively impacts our lives.
